You can’t look at the competition and say you’re going to do it better. You have to look at the competition and say you’re going to do it differently.

'project launcher' and 'project coordinator'
I envision my role at dotUSA, Inc. as 'project launcher' and 'project coordinator': I am not an American citizen and all leadership positions must be filled by Americans. I have co-founded the first city new gTLD applicant (for .berlin) already in 2005 (7 years before the 1st application round opened in 2012) and a second one in 2009 in San Francisco. Since early 2005 I am thinking about community based new gTLD's on daily basis. I initiated the dotUSA project in 2011 a year before the 2012 round started - but in that 1st round country names were ineligible.

I am born and raised in Berlin and emigrated in 2008 to Riga, Latvia (one of the 3 Baltic states, EU member since 2004). I am single and available to move anywhere within this globe. I have spent about 1.5 years of my life in the United States in the last 10 years.
